Many people in these countries already travel to the United States to avail themselves of the healthcare services available here. As the economies of the CAFTA countries improve, and the benefits of the agreement reach more segments of their societies, more people can be expected to also seek health services in the United States. In addition, improved healthcare resources within these countries are increasing the need and demand for medical devices and pharmaceuticals produced by U.S.-based companies, many of which operate in Florida.
