Nearly 100 percent of U.S. aircraft and related product exports, including small aircraft, aircraft engines and parts, and radio equipment have received duty-free treatment upon implementation of the Agreement. Aircraft and related products, which totaled $167 million in 2004, accounted for two percent of total U.S. industrial exports to Central America and the Dominican Republic. Aircraft parts and engines represent the biggest component of this sector, with El Salvador as the leading market, accounting for 60 percent of total U.S. aircraft and related products exports to the region. |
